It’s Friday, Yay! Ok, so I’ve gotten some amazing feedback on last week’s post. Now the results are in! The DNF book last week was “ Three Dark Crowns” by Kendare Blake. After much feedback, I have decided to…
*DRUMROLL*
Let it go.
Some of the feedback I received really put things into perspective. I did like the feedback that stated that book one really set the tone for the rest of the series as far as worldbuilding and getting backstory. However, I was just not in love with the writing style of what I read so far. This may not be something that I can get over so, it had to go.
This week’s book is:

Tell Me Three Things by Julie BuxBaum
“Everything about Jessie is wrong. At least, that’s what it feels like during her first week of junior year at her new ultra-intimidating prep school in Los Angeles. Just when she’s thinking about hightailing it back to Chicago, she gets an email from a person calling themselves Somebody/Nobody (SN for short), offering to help her navigate the wilds of Wood Valley High School. Is it an elaborate hoax? Or can she rely on SN for some much-needed help?
It’s been barely two years since her mother’s death, and because her father eloped with a woman he met online, Jessie has been forced to move across the country to live with her stepmonster and her pretentious teenage son.
In a leap of faith—or an act of complete desperation—Jessie begins to rely on SN, and SN quickly becomes her lifeline and closest ally. Jessie can’t help wanting to meet SN in person. But are some mysteries better left unsolved?”
Thoughts: Ok, I’ll admit it. I have a one click problem. I buy all the books, but I cannot read all the books. Darn you Amazon! I pre-ordered this book before it was released back in 2016. I’ve never opened it. It’s been collecting dust on my shelf. I put it on my 2018 TBR shelf when I attempted a challenge to read books that I already own…obviously, that was a huge FAIL, lol. Romance/ contemporary is not my favorite genre but there are a few books that I enjoy.
So… should it stay, or should it go? Have you read it? What did you think?
