Summerween Wrap Up

The Summerween Readathon has officially come to an end, and I had a blast. The readathon took place from July 2nd through the 8th.It was hosted by Booktubers Gabbyreads and Oliviareadsalatte. I ended up reading five books this past week. Time for a quick wrap-up.

Bake/ Make a Treat or Drink to go with Spooky Read

Local Woman Missing- Still kind of marinating over the rating for this one but leaning towards 4.5 or 5. I really enjoyed it! I just found out it is being turned into a television show. So exciting.

I baked cupcakes but forgot to snap a pic. Just know that they were funfetti (aka boxed) and slightly overcooked. I never said I was a baker, lol.

Read a Book in the Dark

The Arrangement– 2.5 stars. So, this was originally supposed to be The Cheerleaders by Kara Thomas, but I ended up DNFing and picking up The Arrangement instead. I may give The Cheerleaders another shot in the future.

Read a Paranormal Book

Layla– 4 stars. I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, especially towards the beginning but I ended up really enjoying it.

Witches of Salix Pointe– 3 stars. This was an ok read. I would be interested in reading the sequel to see how everything plays out.

Horror

I didn’t get around to reading Mexican Gothic.

Read a book with black or orange on the cover (or both)

His & Hers4.5 stars. Loved it.

And that wraps it up. This was my first year participating and I can’t wait for next year’s. In the meantime, looking forward to Winterween. What was the last thriller/ horror book you read? Let me know in the comments. Have a wonderful weekend and happy reading!
