Review

The Real Deal by Alexandra Warren was such a cute book. Reagan is dealing with a horrible breakup…if you can even call it that. The man she thought she was in a relationship with has a whole fiancée and Reagan has just been  invited to the wedding. Determined to appear unbothered, Reagan enlists the help of up-and-coming rapper, Gavin aka G. Griffey aka #rapperbae, as her plus one. What starts off as a little fake dating soon has the potential to turn into the real deal.

I’m really starting to enjoy this fake dating romance trope (friend to lovers, you’ve been warned). The Real Deal was an easy, cute read. The pacing was just right, and I loved how the first half was the real him and the second, the real her. At times Reagan was a bit insecure, but I had to remember what she had been through and why she was the way she was. I loved Gavin. I His mother was hilarious. I really enjoyed this story and the chemistry between these two characters.
