Hello, hello! Come on in and get comfy! This month has zoomed right by. Guess what? I have some news! First, this month might have been the best reading month I’ve had all year. Well, it was lol. I read a total of twenty-one books ( two not pictured) this month but more about that later. Let’s talk about the Book Buying Ban I put myself on this month….it was a success!
I maintained all shelf control and didn’t one click or take a stroll into Barnes and Noble. Don’t get me wrong, there were definitely some temptations. So many sales, so many sales. Will I ever do another one? Maybe next year. Tomorrow, it is back to business and I have some books I need to buy lol.
Lastly, I’ve met my Goodreads goal of seventy-five books. Woohoo. Reading is not a competition ( in my opinion), so it was never really about the number for me but with everything I have going on, I’m glad to have met my personal goal. I read fifty-five books last year so I’m glad to have gone over that number. I’ve been home since March ( back to work on Monday) so that definitely played a role. Now onto the books! I read:
I Think I Might Need You by CCJ
I Think I Might Want You by CCJ
Thickerella by Tanzania Glover
Bless Your Heart by AshleyNicole ( The Black Romance Book Club pick)
The Makings of You by Xila Jaye
Atonement by Ash Ley
The Hand on the Wall by Maureen Johnson
Getting The Edge by Alexandra Warren
When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole (review to come)
Unapologetically Me by Danesha Little
Go Deep by Rilzy Adams (The Black Romance Book Club pick)
The Bad Beginning ( A Series of Unfortunate Events #1) by Lemony Snicket
By Any Means Necessary: by Nako
If Only For The Summer by Alexandra Warren
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
The Good Sister by Sally Hepworth
#catfished by AshleyNicole
Should’ve Been by Alexandria House
Even though I didn’t buy any books, I did receive a few. They were:
Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko (physical-ARC blog Tour)
His & Hers by Alice Feeney ( Audiobook & ebook-ARC)
When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole ( physical-ARC)
The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary (physical- giveaway)
The Switch by Beth O’ Leary (ebook-giveaway)
Now That I’ve Found You by Kristina Forest (ebook- ARC for blog tour)
Legendborn by Tracy Deonn (ebook- ARC for blog tour)
*** July was a success. I also think I did a pretty good job of reading from my TBR. Of the twenty-one books, only four were ARCs. The rest I owned. Did I put a dent into my tbr/ owned books? No,lol. So many books, so little time. ***
How did July go for you? Did you have any standout books? Any disappointments?
